William A. Buckaway, Jr. was admitted to the Kentucky bar in 1961 and has been practicing law for 53 years. Bill is Of Counsel at Tilford Dobbins & Alexander, PLLC for the last three and a half years. He is semi-retired, but plans on continuing working as an Attorney during his retirement years on a consultancy basis. He was inspired to become a lawyer because he felt he always had entrepreneurial goals. His success can be attributed to his excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Bill received his JD from the University of Louisville, 1961; he earned a BA from Centre College, 1956. His professional affiliations include: Phi Alpha Delta, (Board of Governors) Norton Healthcare, (Emeritus Member and Board of Governors) Lexington Unit of the Shriners Hospital, and the American Bar Association. He won a Distinguished Alumnus Recognition Award from the University of Louisville School of Law in 1986.
